Must you care where you are headed?

Running, Running, Running to who knows where? Must you care?

Should you care?

Absolutely care...

Have emotion, and sensations around your life and what it means.

Who will you impact? Will you impact yourself? All in the room? The staff? The family that surrounds you?

Absolutely!

You are a presence that is known and felt.

Be the energy of love, compassion and mercy for self and others.

And set your tone of how you will receive and give respect, honour and appreciation.

No one above, no one below; yet bring them along, bring your passion and play along, for this journey must not be taken for granted.

Don't get stagnant, stuffy, or complacent.

You must receive the pleasure and joy of the journey, or you are truly not living up. Up, UP...

To live with expectation as your fuel is to live while slowly moving downward, for you will never be fulfilled.

To live with appreciation and gratitude for the reality of this ambitious dream and allow the ups, downs, and rainbow of experience to have you angry, happy, tired, energized, free, floating, heavy, fatigued...WOW!

Now, that is living. That is arriving for the entirety of your existence.

See it. Feel it. Smell it. Taste it. Chew it. Swallow it. Digest it.

Remain a student, yet be a teacher for yourself and all around. Listen. Pause. Reflect. Don't deflect...

Ask more questions. Seek to understand and ensure you receive the depth of wisdom.

This is a photo from January 2023, when I went off the grid by myself for just under a month.

You are ready.

Ensure you arrive just how you are. Breathe in gratitude and appreciation. Look across the room, the field of play, the life...Press RECORD. Remember. Smile. Smirk.

For yes, it has, is, and will be a crazy ride.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Enjoy. Be light. Stay free. Play.

~ This writing came to me in my diary a day after working with an NHL Player. This happens often, the wisdom will land the day after. I believe it came through for that athlete and for whoever relates to this post.

We are all not that different. Truly. If you are human, have a dream an ambition, and care about your life. Chances are you are reading this.

I hope that you receive the depth of this post.

What words stood out for you in this post?

What is your definition of them?

Look up the definition of them online.

How do you relate to them in your own life?

Do you want to adopt this word? Use it more often?

Some that I looked up were complacent and merciful. I wanted to come to my own understanding of those words and what they meant.

Mercy is to provide compassionate treatment to those in distress or to show mercy when you have the power to hurt. To say or do something that would not be kind or compassionate.

This can be experienced on a team with someone showing up late more often than not; instead of being direct and unkind, you can be direct and kind. How are you? I notice you have been late a lot lately, is everything ok?

The reality is you have no idea what that teammate is going through. It could also be you arriving late, dropping your keys, spilling your coffee...and to show mercy would be to reflect on the reality that maybe you have not slept well for the last few days, that you are tired. So you show yourself mercy, you do your best that day, and you also dial in your self-responsibility, for you know you need to sleep.

You create a plan, share that plan with the person you are living with, and set boundaries with yourself around your phone, behaviours, and choices. You get back on track. The next day you arrive on time and the morning runs smoother.

May we always live a life with intention and know that we are impacting those around us, let us do it with love, compassion and mercy; hope, courage and open communication; Love, honour and respect.
